Marry My Husband actor Lee Yi Kyung has been at the centre of a major controversy after a woman accused him of inappropriate behaviour, and now she has released what she says is her final statement on the matter. The alleged victim shared multiple screenshots of her chats with the actor. In the pictures, it seemed like the actor was asking for private images. They were then reported to be AI-generated; however, the same victim has now released a final statement and denied that the evidence was AI-made.
Lee Yi Kyung’s Alleged Victim Releases Final Statement
On November 19, 2025, she posted a message on her personal account with a photo, writing, “Hello. I wanted to say this one last time. This is really the last.” In Lee Yi Kyung’s alleged victim’s statement, she said that in the earlier apology, she panicked at the thought of being sued or having to pay legal damages and lied.
The victim also emphasised that none of her posts were AI-generated, and the screenshots she uploaded were real. She explained that she does not want to deepen the issue further, but could not help speaking out again because she was worried victims of other cases might be dismissed or accused of using AI.
The controversy started when she uploaded a post entitled “I’m exposing Lee Yi Kyung’s real self,” in which she claims to expose parts of the actor’s private life. She posted KakaoTalk screenshots and DM conversations with someone saved as “Actor Yi Kyung,” claiming that the messages were from Yi Kyung. Some of these screenshots seemed to contain s*xual conversations and requests of an inappropriate nature.
The situation quickly escalated, and the actor’s agency stated that they would be taking strong legal action, after which the woman posted an apology letter. She said she had not been paid or forced by anyone and that she lied. But shortly thereafter, she stated that she felt cornered and had spoken out in fear.
Yi Kyung has since stepped down from several broadcasting activities due to the backlash. Lee Yi Kyung withdrew from his regular position in MBC’s Hangout With Yoo and also withdrew from his planned MC role on KBS2’s The Return of Superman.
