A good day for Squid Game and The Glory fans! Prime Video has recently greenlit a romantic comedy K-drama series featuring the lead actors from the two mega-popular shows! Squid Game’s Lee Jung Jae and The Glory’s Lim Ji Yeon will be starring in the upcoming drama Nice To Meet You.’ Read on to know more about the plot, cast, and release date for the drama! 

Squid Game Actor Lee Jung Jae Teams Up With The Glory’s Lim Ji Yeon To Star In Upcoming Romance K-Drama, Nice To Meet You

This project will be something new and exciting for the fans as it’s different from projects that both the lead actors have previously starred in. The project marks a significant genre shift for Lee Jung Jae, who is best known for his performance in Netflix’s thriller series, Squid Game. In Nice To Meet You, the actor will play the role of Lin Hyeon Jun, an actor restricted to detective roles, on the hunt to find more dynamic parts in movies. 

Lim Ji Yeon, on the other hand, is known for her performance as the ruthless bully in Netflix’s hit revenge thriller K-drama The Glory. Ji Yeon is set to play Wi Jeon Sin, a political reporter who is asked to cover entertainment news mid-coverage of an ongoing investigation. This makes her enter a world that she does not quite fit in and have clashes with the industry that she now has to cover. 

Kim Ga Ram will be directing the K-drama. The director is known for previous hit works like Nevertheless and Good Partner. The script for Nice To Meet You was developed by Jung Yeo-rang. According to sources the drama will focus on both industry politics and satire, and the romance comedy element.
