SS Rajamouli’s historic drama RRR is being hailed by the world, especially after the film’s song RRR won the 95th Academy Awards. The song was nominated for the Best Original Song category and its win was quite an anticipated one! However, it was competing against songs composed by world-famous artists, and one among them was Lady Gaga. The singer’s song ‘Hold My Hand’ from the film Top Gun: Maverick was also nominated for this year’s Oscars, but it lost to ‘Naatu Naatu’. However, that did not stop Lady Gaga from cheering Naatu Naatu’s win at the prestigious award function. A video doing rounds on social media shows that Lady Gaga stood up with ecstasy as soon as the winner was announced. The singer is being hailed by the people on Twitter for this gesture. Apart from the song’s win, India’s documentary short film, The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves also won the Oscars 2023.
