Yet another scary controversy over a joke occurred after stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra took a jibe at Eknath Shinde. The Shiv Sena workers vandalised the comedy club where the show was shot. As per some reports, Kunal even spoke to the police and expressed no regrets about his joke. Now, the artist posted an official statement on social media addressing the mob and the political leaders. Kunal Kamra wrote at length about the right to freedom of speech and how cracking a mere joke was not against any law. What Did Kunal Kamra Say?

Kunal Kamra penned a long note amid his Eknath Shinde joke controversy. The artist called out the Shiv Sena workers for vandalising and destroying a venue which was only a platform or space where various shows take place. He further clarified that The Habitat was not responsible for any of his content nor did it have any power over it. Kunal Karma took a jibe at the political leaders who could not take a joke and wrote that it was not against any law. However, the artist showed cooperation for any kind of lawful action that could be taken against him. However, he also questioned the unnecessary vandalism that took place and whether any strong action would be taken against the people involved in that.

Kunal Kamra also called out people who were calling to give threats to him. The artist yet again refused to apologise to Mr Eknath Shinde, the Deputy Chief Of Maharashtra. Kunal Kamra also wrote that he would face the mob fearlessly and would not be hiding down.

As per the reports, many people who were involved in the vandalism were arrested by the police. The Habitat also posted an official statement in which they announced that the venue would be shutting down.
