Things have turned ugly between singer Kumar Sanu and his wife Rita Bhattacharya after the singer filed a defamation suit against her. As per the reports, the singer has filed a defamation case on the grounds that his ex-wife’s statements have brought damage to his reputation. Now, Rita Bhattacharya has reacted to this lawsuit and has expressed shock. Here’s what she said, read on.
Kumar Sanu’s Ex-Wife Reacts To Defamation Case!
The singer has filed a defamation suit against his ex-wife and demanded damages on the basis that her statements damaged his reputation. In a conversation with Bombay Times, Kumar Sanu’s ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya addressed the lawsuit and revealed that the singer had claimed 50 crores and not 30 lakhs. She wondered how her ex-husband thought she owned 50 crores. Rita Bhattacharya called this sad, and was shocked that Kumar Sanu had sent a lawsuit to the mother of his three grownup children. Furthermore, Rita also added that she would request Kumar Sanu to take back the lawsuit and be a good father to their children. As per Rita Bhattacharya, Kumar Sanu could not love them but she at least hopes that he would not harass or disturb them.
For the unversed, Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya parted ways in 1994, and they have three sons together. A few days back, during an interview, Rita Bhattacharya had spoken at length about the mistreatment she got from Sanu during pregnancy. She also spoke about the affair that the singer had during the same time when she was pregnant.

In response to this, the singer has taken a legal action against her and the lawsuit was filed in the Bombay High Court. The claims were also dismissed as false.
