Kubbra Sait Reveals She Didn’t Feel “Worth It” On Getting An Abortion; Calls It A Difficult Decision!

Going through an abortion is one of the hardest and painful decision a woman makes. While many flake it off as easy and selfish, they don’t consider the emotional turmoil it takes on one’s body. In a recent conversation, actor Kubbra Sait was asked about the courage she had to undergo to get an abortion and defy societal norms. She said that she didn’t have any strength and that she even felt like she couldn’t talk to anyone about it.
Kubbra Sait On Getting An Abortion
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, actor Kubbar Sait said, “I think when I went through the abortion, I don’t think I was being strong at all. I was too weak to take it forward.” She revealed feeling hollow and unworthy. She acknowledged that she didn’t feel the decision had strength until much later, when she rejected stereotypical patterns. Kubbra further disclosed that she kept it a secret from the director of the trip program she was hosting as well as her pals at the time.

Kubbra went to get the abortion alone and didn’t tell anyone until two or three weeks later when she broke down in front of a friend. Additionally, Kubbra disclosed that she was bleeding heavily and would become hot and sick while filming her show five or six years later. Furthermore, she continued to keep her experiences private from people close to her. She didn’t know she needed to tell the story and be kind about the choices she had made in life until she published it in her book Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir (2022).

This was so brave of a mainstream actor to talk about abortion which is considered a sin and a hush hush topic to many. While it’s easy for men to tell us to get an abortion, they never realise the worth we have to give emotionally and physically.
