During her candid conversation with Variety, Kristen Stewart stated that  actresses get treated like “sh*t” in Hollywood. She added that people think anyone could be an actress, but the first time she sat down to talk about her film as a director, she thought that it was a different experience, adding that people were talking to her like she was someone with a brain. The Twilight star also talked about the idea that the directors have otherworldly abilities, which she said is entirely false. Kristen shared that this idea has been perpetuated by men. The actor turned director also expressed that she did not want to sound like a complainer all the time, but it’s worse for female actors than the male ones, adding they are treated like “puppets.”

Kristen Stewart made a pivotal shift in her career by turning into a director with The Chronology Of Water.
