Fourth-generation K-pop stars TXT recently gained attention after they were made to sleep in the lobby of their company, HYBE. Considering the level of celebrities represented, including BTS, SEVENTEEN, and LE SSERAFIM, the five-member group’s punishment on their variety show is ludicrous. In fact, the members encountered several puzzled HYBE employees as they lay down in the foyer, bundled up in pyjamas.
TXT Becomes The First K-pop Group To Sleep In HYBE Lobby
In the latest episode of TO DO, their in-house variety show, the ‘Sugar Rush Ride’ group thought they were having a normal pyjama party. The producers, however, were about to make their lives difficult. All members of the group had to fall asleep within three rounds, with various distractions planned by the staff. Firstly, a classical singer sang a lullaby, following which a symphony of farting and buzzing sounds appeared. So, Beomgyu got distracted and could not sleep.
The next round moved TXT to a public spot with more staff who were discussing upcoming TO DO episode ideas, such as bungee jumping and playing games with the E-Sports athlete Faker. This was followed by a K-pop medley with the staff singing along. Round 3 added a nature documentary-like voice-over to each member, waking them up. Suffice to say, the ‘Deja Vu’ group failed the sleeping challenge. The punishment? Sleep in the HYBE lobby on thin picnic mats with employees flitting in and out.

Yeonjun called the staff “evil masterminds”, but they did end up fulfilling their punishment, however unwillingly. Netizens were surprised by TXT’s suffering, with many saying they could never imagine a reality show would go to this extent.
