Ahn Hyo Seop Opens Up About Being Rejected By JYP Entertainment
Ahn Hyo Seop recently appeared on a YouTube show with Fairy Jae Hyung. He looked back at one of the hardest times in his life. Before he became a famous K-drama and movie star, he had a different dream. While living in Canada, he was spotted by JYP Entertainment. He moved to Korea to train as a K-pop idol.
At first, everything felt exciting. But the training soon became tough. The same practice every day and the immense pressure made him lose some of his love for music. What used to make him happy started to feel like a burden.
The biggest blow came when he was cut from the trainee programme. Ahn Hyo Seop did not hide how he felt. He knew his dancing was not strong enough and even said that if he were the judge, he would have removed himself too. Singing could get better with time, but dance was a problem for him.
He shared that he cried and called his father to say sorry. His dad had trusted him and allowed him to go to Korea. Feeling like he let his family down made him very sad. For many years, he saw this rejection as a dark spot in his life. He did not like to talk about it at all and focused only on acting.
Now, Ahn Hyo Seop has built a successful career in front of the camera. He has starred in popular shows like Business Proposal and even voiced a character in the animated movie KPop Demon Hunters. Looking back, he says the experience taught him a lot. It helped him grow stronger and learn important lessons about life.
