Sequel For KPop Demon Hunters Announced
The sequel to Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters has officially been announced. In a report by Variety and Deadline, Sony Animation and Netflix are aiming for the highly anticipated animated sequel to be released in 2029. So, while the fans will have to wait a little longer to see whether Jinu and Rumi’s story flourishes, the wait will surely be worth it.
The sequel promises to bring back the cultural depth and vibrant energy that made its predecessor a hit. It will also expand on the K-pop-inspired universe, making way for new characters, plotlines and supernatural challenges.
Aside from its cinematic success, the film has also gained incredible success with its music. Both ‘Golden’ by HUNTR/X and ‘Soda Pop’ by Saja Boys have performed incredibly well on charts globally, with ‘Golden’ becoming the longest charting song by K-pop girl group on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the #1 spot.
