Since its release on June 20, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has gained an impressive 106.1 million views in just five weeks. It also became Netflix’s most-watched original animated movie this week. And now, the streaming platform is reported to expand it. According to a report by The Wrap, the streaming platform is reportedly aiming for a trilogy. Alongside this, a live-action version is in the works. You may assume that this news may have made the fans happier, but it didn’t.

One user wrote, “I am down for the two sequels to KPop Demon Hunters. It’d be cool for another animated trilogy. I am not down for a live-action remake, though. Seriously, Hollywood, stop remaking animated stuff in live action. It’s not cool in the slightest and only just exceptionally lame.”
