Jang Na Ra, a Korean actor-singer, has gotten embroiled in a new controversy. A former staff member of the School 2013 actress’ agency was announced to have died on March 9, 2026. Rumours that Jang’s agency was involved have been floating since yesterday. Now, the agency revealed its stance on the same to Korean media. Actress Jang Na Ra’s Agency Claims No Involvement In Former Staff Member’s Death

The staff member passed away reportedly passed away by s*icide on March 9, 2026. However, the company, Lael BNC, made a statement on March 20. It disclosed that there had been no connection between the death and the agency.

Saying Lael was being “cautious” in talking about an ongoing matter, it dismissed reports of Lael’s association with the unnamed staff. Adding that Jang Na Ra was also not involved, it said the K-drama actor had parted ways with them in August 2025. Although she had signed with them in January of the same year, Jang had decided not to continue with Lael BNC. She now operated independently without any agency as far as they were aware.

In the same statement, Lael addressed rumours of investment or legal issues with the anonymous staff member. It said this was untrue, contrasting the Korean media’s earlier reports.

On March 9, 2026, a news outlet carried an article informing the public that a former staff member from Jang Na Ra’s label had passed away. It added that she had left a s*icide note. It went on to delineate the aforementioned legal trouble and investment issues with Lael.

As of publication, the police are still investigating the reasons behind the former employee’s death. It is hoped that the truth comes out soon.

Meanwhile, Jang Na Ra will be starring in the second season of Good Partner, the K-drama that won her the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the SBS Drama Awards 2024.
