Popular actor Yoo Ah In has taken a break from the South Korean entertainment industry for 3 years now. The actor stepped out from the limelight after a personal scandal. However, recent reports reveal that the actor might be making a comeback. On December 17th, a news outlet reported that he was cast in an upcoming project said to be directed by director Jang Jae Hyun, known for his works in Exhuma and The Priests. Is Yoo Ah In Going To Be Cast In An Upcoming Vampire Film?
A report by a Korean media outlet, Sports Chosun, made headlines today that quoted an entertainment insider stating that Yoo Ah In will be making his highly anticipated comeback in the industry with a vampire-centred film. The movie is currently in the early stages of development. It will take inspiration from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and will be directed by the acclaimed director Jang Jae Hyun. Jae Hyun revealed that he dedicated two years to writing the screenplay, and it will be released next year in the second half.
As soon as the report was released, Yoo Ah In fans were delighted to hear the news. However, hopes were dashed after the actor’s agency, UAA, shut down the speculations by stating that nothing has been decided yet. Director Jang Jae Hyun also denied the casting rumours by saying that reports of Yoo Ah In’s involvement are not true. Jae Hyun said that the casting has not been finalised yet, and discussions are still ongoing.

It’s been three years since Yoo Ah In stepped back from the spotlight. In 2023, the actor landed in legal trouble after he was involved in a drug case. Following the allegations, he was removed from several projects, including season 2 of the popular show Hellbound.
