K-drama Actor Lee Jang Woo Releases Statement About His Supposed Unpaid Costs For Ingredients

According to Dispatch, the owner of a meat distribution company alleged that the restaurant in question owed them ₩40 million KRW. While a monthly payment plan had been put into place as a matter of good faith, there were many gaps between payments. Eventually, for some months, the bills remained unpaid!

A source close to Lee Jang Woo said that the actor had no connection to the sundaeguk (Korean blood sausage soup) restaurant at all. His friend, dubbed B for privacy, owned the establishment and served as CEO.

Later, a Food and Beverage company, which served as the legal entity of the restaurant, added that the company (A) had entered into a contract with the distribution company. Agency A had been paid but had not forwarded the payment to the meat distribution company.

However, Lee Jang Woo’s agency has concluded that all payments to company A have been cleared (promised on behalf of the restaurant). However, company A had not paid the meat distribution company. Some media people still think that Lee Jang Woo owes some responsibility for the unpaid dues. Turns out, the K-drama actor had spoken of the restaurant in several variety shows, appearing to be the owner. Thus, he cannot be completely absolved of all accountability.
