Recently, Kirron Kher opened up about her battle with multiple myeloma, which is a type of blood cancer. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2020. It was a long and tough battle; however, she didn’t stop working. In a recent interview, she revealed that even though she was undergoing cancer treatment, she didn’t let go of her role as the judge of the reality show India’s Got Talent. 

Kirron Kher Continued To Judge India’s Got Talent During Cancer Treatment

During an interview with News18, Kirron Kher opened up about her battle with cancer. She said that she wasn’t acting and was only focused on India’s Got Talent and had moved to her hometown, Chandigarh. Furthermore, despite facing health challenges and undergoing cancer treatment, she remained committed to the show and prioritised it over other opportunities including films. ” I can’t give up that show,” said Kirron Kher. She further also talked about how people often believe they have power over their lives, however, it’s actually the divine that guides everyone’s paths.

Moreover, doctors don’t tell patients that they have beaten it instead, they continue with the ongoing treatment. “They give it at longer intervals, but the treatment goes on for years,” said Kirron Kher. For Kirron, dealing with the treatment and its side effects proved to be more challenging than the illness itself, especially during the initial six to eight months. However, she found strength and left it in the hands of the lord. “I’ve always believed, even when fighting elections, that ‘This is not my fight; the Lord fights for me” Kirron Kher added.
