The 2019 K-drama Extraordinary You featured a brilliant lineup of young and promising actors, including Kim Young Dae and Lee Na Eun. While the two were not the main leads, they formed the main couple within the comic book in the drama series. With palpable chemistry, the two actors have remained close since they worked together almost seven years ago. Recently, the pair was embroiled in dating rumours. Extraordinary You Co-Stars Kim Young Dae And Lee Na Eun Speak On Relationship Rumours

On March 25, 2026, Star Today, a Korean media outlet, reported seeing the pair together in Seoul’s Gwangjin area. Allegedly, Kim Young Dae resides in this district, whereas Lee Na Eun lives in the nearby Guri district. Considering that their homes are only separated by the Han River, many believed these long-term friends were in a relationship.

However, contrary to the opinions floating around, the K-drama actors’ agencies have revealed that the pair are not dating each other. Kim’s agency, OUTERUNIVERSE (formerly called Outer Korea), stated that the celebrities had been “close friends for a long time,” without elaborating further. Meanwhile, Namoo Actors, Lee Na Eun’s company, clarified that the photograph might feature just the pair, but they were actually accompanied by “several others” on their run. Namoo also echoed that Young Dae and Na Eun were “close friends.”

In Extraordinary You, Kim Young Dae played Oh Nam Joo, the typical popular, rich high schooler who falls for Lee Na Eun’s underprivileged yet determined Yeo Ju Da. While the K-drama was led by Kim Hye Yoon, Rowoon, and Lee Jae Wook, Nam Joo and Ju Da’s onscreen pairing worked very well. Clearly, the friendship has stayed strong if they stayed in touch seven years after the drama ended.

Kim Young Dae is all set to enlist in the military in April 2026. Meanwhile, Lee Na Eun (formerly of K-pop group April) continues her foray into acting. She was last seen in the series The Defects, dealing with a network of illegal adoption.
