Kim Seon Ho’s tax avoidance allegations have negatively affected the K-drama actor’s reputation. As a result, the fate of his pre-filmed K-dramas and other acting ventures hangs in the balance. Kim Seon Ho Tax Avoidance Scandal: What Will Happen To His Upcoming Acting Work?

As with any public figure, the tax dodging claims diminished Kim Seon Ho’s standing in the public’s eyes. Consequently, those involved in his projects have elaborated on what we can expect in the future. Firstly, the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star’s stage production, Secret Passage, premieres on February 13. The tickets were sold out before the supposed tax issues came to light. The theatre company behind the play, Contents Hap, spoke to JTBC explaining that they intend to go ahead with the performances as planned.

The production companies behind two prominent Kim Seon Ho K-drama projects, Unfriend and Portraits of Delusion, have also issued statements. The story of a woman uncovering the story behind her late sister’s passing, Unfriend features Park Gyu Young. Set to air on TVING, the television channel says its release is in limbo because it isn’t “an original TVING production.”

Kim’s highly anticipated reunion with Start Up co-star Bae Suzy, Portraits of Delusion, was also in production. A Disney+ spokesperson admitted that the drama’s airing dates had “not been confirmed.” They added that the release would be declared at a later time, leaving the project in uncertainty.

Kim Seon Ho Apologizes For Tax Issues Arising Due To His Company

Via a statement issued by his agency, Fantagio, the Korean actor cleared up a few speculations. Confirming that his company was started for his theatre and acting projects, Fantagio said it had been inactive since he signed their contract. Additionally, the ‘paper company’ was in the process of being closed completely.

The label added that Kim has submitted all corporate taxes, cars, and other company property for evaluation. He has even paid off additional personal taxes on top of corporate taxes already disbursed. Fantagio added that Kim Seon Ho was regretful of attempting to run the company “without a thorough understanding of its operations.”
