Following close on the heels of Cha Eun Woo, this is the second K-celebrity represented by Fantagio to face an enquiry regarding tax evasion. While the tax evasion is yet to be confirmed, this is what has been revealed thus far. Apparently, Kim Seon Ho established a theatre company in 2024, but no related activities took place. His parents have been considered employees of the company and registered as such, with salaries (up to millions of won-KRW) going into their accounts each month.
Additionally, Kim’s father used the company card to expense personal activities, even driving the registered car as his own vehicle. These are considered trust breaches in South Korea, drawing fines and even jail time.

First reported by Korean media, the supposed Kim Seon Ho tax avoidance spread to English-language media as well. Then his agency, Fantagio, issued a clarification statement about the accusations, especially since their name was being dragged through the mud.
They said that Kim’s contract with Fantagio was signed “in his personal capacity” to the label and denied any violations from either party. Formed before he joined Fantagio in March 2025, the alleged paper company had no intention of tax evasion. The agency added that there were no issues with the company, and Kim was in the process of dissolving it. Nothing had occurred in the supposed one-person company for over a year, said Fantagio.

Cha Eun Woo’s recent tax evasion charges shocked netizens. Apparently, the K-pop idol formed a company to avoid taxes, like Kim Seon Ho. New information says that the original report did not use the word “evasion”, and fans are demanding apologies.
