The tragic death of South Korean actor Kim Sae-ron has shaken the internet. During her funeral on February 17, her family broke their silence on her death. The actor’s father claimed that she suffered emotional distress due to some videos shared by a YouTuber. He pointed out a video criticising his daughter for sharing wedding-themed pictures on her social media. Here’s what he said.

Kim Sae-ron’s Father Breaks Silence On Her Death

Kim Sae-ron’s father read a statement at her funeral, claiming that a specific YouTuber was to blame for his daughter’s emotional turmoil. He cited a video in which the YouTuber, known as Lee Jin-ho, chastised Kim Sae-ron for posting wedding-themed photos on social media. The video is named “Kim Sae Ron’s Self-Deletion Again… Have you gone into hiding due to suspicions about your marriage? Tried approaching her directly” sparked outrage and increased public attention.

Many celebrities from the South Korean entertainment industry attended her funeral, including Won Bin, her The Man From Nowhere co-star. According to many reports, he was visibly disturbed and paid his last respects by sending a condolences a wreath and he was also seen wiping his tears. Actors Kim Bo-ra and Han So-hee paid respect to Kim Sae-ron.

Kim Sae-ron was discovered dead at her Seongsu-dong home on February 16, by a friend. Police found no evidence of forced entry or foul play. The National Office of Investigation later indicated that the case would be investigated as “an unattended death case,” implying that it was a suicide.
