In a shocking turn of events, Sangeetha Sornalingam, wife of Tamil actor and TVK leader Vijay, filed for divorce in February 2026. She accused him of cheating with a female co-star and claimed mental cruelty and emotional neglect after 27 years of marriage. The case was filed in Chengalpattu Family Court. Soon, online users pointed fingers at actress Trisha Krishnan as the other woman. The discussion became louder and more intense when Vijay and Trisha appeared together at a wedding in Chennai. This made fans and trolls go wild on social media.
Following which, actress and politician Khushbu Sundar stepped in to support her friend Trisha Krishnan. In a recent chat with DeKoder, Khushbu spoke about the online bullying Trisha has faced since that public outing. She called Trisha Krishnan one of the kindest and most dignified women she knows. Khushbu Sundar said it is sad how people today blame others for even small things and love poking into celebrities’ private lives. She felt many online users get joy from judging strangers instead of fixing their own problems.
Khushbu Sundar made it clear that Vijay and Trisha’s personal matters are theirs alone. Unless it hurts someone else, there is no need for outsiders to turn it into a big drama. She added that most people writing mean comments are unknown to the stars and do not deserve a response. Khushbu Sundar urged everyone to stop wasting time on gossip and let the two handle things quietly.

On the other hand, recently, multiple media reports suggested that Vijay Thalapathy’s son, Jason Sanjay, may now use the name “Jason Sanjay S”. The “S” reportedly stands for his mother, Sangeetha Soralingam, Vijay’s estranged wife. Unlike the usual Tamil tradition where star kids take their father’s initial, Jason’s choice is seen by many as a symbolic move. It is believed he distanced himself from rumours involving his father and actress Trisha Krishnan. Netizens also feel that he wants to build his career independently, without relying on Vijay’s fame.
