5 K-Drama Friendships That Are Bestie Goals!

If I were to list one thing that K-drama has taught me, it is the importance of platonic friendships. One of the most heartwarming parts of any K-drama isn’t just the romance but also the friendships. Whether it’s ride-or-die besties, chaotic friend groups, or bromances and sisterhoods. Friendships in K-drama have taught us many unforgettable lessons, too. So, here are 5 K-drama iconic friendships that we love and want!

1. Woo Young-woo And Dong Geurami in Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin) and Dong Geurami’s (Joo Hyun-young) friendship became a fan favourite as the show rose in popularity. The fact that Geurami accepts Young-woo for who she is and never judges her for her disability is what makes the character a perfect friend. In times of need, she is a friend who is always there for the young attorney. And of course, nobody can forget their iconic signature handshake trend!

2. The 99 Squad In Hospital Playlist

The friendship of these five doctors who entered medical school together in 1999 is something we all crave for. The doctors Lee Ik-jun (Jo Jung-suk), Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do), Kim Jun-wan (Jung Kyung-ho), Ahn Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok), and Yang Seok-hyeong (Kim Dae-myung) have been inseparable since day one. They also have a band together where they jam to nostalgic tunes! The 99 squad friendship is one defined by love and loss along with the daily struggles they face at the hospital.

3. Lee Sun-ok, Kim Bok-joo And Jung Nan-hee In Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo

A friend group whose friendship transcends beyond their love for weightlifting. The girls are always there for each other through thick and thin. The drama also does a fantastic job of portraying the nature of their friendship. With their actions, they prove that Sun-ok, Bok-joo, and Nan-hee are more than just teammates and are always looking out for each other.

4. Bae In-hyeok And Ryu Sun-jae In Lovely Runner

In-hyeok may tease Sun-jae relentlessly but at the end of the day, he is his best friend’s ultimate hype man! Their friendship mainly serves the purpose of comic relief in the show but that does not mean that the pair do not share meaningful moments together. Whether it’s fighting a fellow bandmate or being there for each other in times of need In-hyeok and Sun-jae always prove to be real friendship goals.
