In recent events, global group KATSEYE member Yoonchae revealed that she met her idol, BLACKPINK Rosé, at the Grammy 2026. After their performance, the girl group also made their debut on the Tonigh Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and during this, the member gushed about her experience of meeting with her idol and even revealed that she was too nervous to speak in Korean. KATSEYE Yoonchae On BLACKPINK Rosé
During the chat, Yoonchae revealed that she got a chance to say ‘hi’ to BLACKPINK Rosé at the Grammys 2026. She continued that she had been her fan since she was 9 years old and that, though she wanted to speak to her in Korean, she got way too nervous to talk. She was quoted saying, “I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Yoonchae.’ And she was like, ‘Oh, can you speak Korean?’ so I said, ‘Annyeonghaseyo,’” she shared, calling Rose “so sweet and nice.”

Other members of the group, including Sophia Laforteza, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel and Manon Bannerman, also revealed their interactions with industry stars at the awards, like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and more. KATSEYE, known for some hit songs like ‘Gnarly’ and ‘Gabriela’, also teased about their upcoming projects on the show and confirmed that their new music would be ‘energetic’ and ‘fierce.’ They revealed that they did not have a release date as of now.

KATSEYE, based in Los Angeles, was founded as a result of HYBE and Geffen Records’ collaboration on the 2023 reality competition series Dream Academy. Popstar Academy: KATSEYE, a Netflix documentary series, followed the group’s founding process. The series detailed the audition process, hard training, and establishment of the group. KATSEYE is frequently referred to as a ‘global girl group’ because its members are from the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States.
