Read on to know all about it.
KATSEYE Members Hit With Queerbaiting Claims
Recently, a photo of KATSEYE members Lara, Manon, Daniela and Sophia with their rumoured boyfriend went viral across social media platforms and everyone started talking a lot about the group’s romantic lives. Many fans got upset because some members had said before that they are part of the LGBTQ+ community. For example, Lara had come out as queer. When the new photos came out, some people said the members were pretending about their feelings to gain more fans. They called it “queerbaiting”, which is faking about being queer to get attention.
The response became intense on social media. Some fans felt tricked or let down. They wrote mean comments and accused the girls of lying about who they really like. One user wrote, “They need to stop pretending.” Another user wrote, “Why are they dating average white male?”

But many others defended the members. They explained that being queer, like bis*xual, means a person can date men or women. Fans, aka ‘eyekons’, said it is not fair to judge or attack the girls for who they choose to date. The members are young women living their lives just like any other person.
In the end, fans need to respect boundaries. The KATSEYE girls are real people with feelings, not just stars to control. No one should spread hate or judge their personal choices. Everyone has the right to love who they want without fear of backlash or judgement.
