KATSEYE Just Bagged Two Grammy Nominations But Internet Screams “Hybe Payola”!
Many internet users said that the group's nominations looks fishy and were bought.
Last night, music fans felt a big rush when the much-awaited Grammy nominations came out. On November 10, IST, the 2026 nominations list came out and it included stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and others in several categories. Social media exploded and fans started celebrating it. Amid all of it, global girl group KATSEYE, also earned two nominations, which made heads turn. But many internet users said that it looks fishy and the nominations were bought. Read on to know all about it.
KATSEYE made the cut for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with their hit song ‘Gabriela’. Not just this, they also got nominated for Best New Artist as well. The six girls—Lara, Megan, Sophia, Daniela, Manon and Yoonchae shared their reactions and it was full of happiness and emotions. Fans, also known as Eyekons, took to social media and celebrated their nominations. They love how the group started only one year ago and are making waves on huge platforms.

However, things turned sour when many netizens started criticising it. They blamed their company HYBE for spending money to bag nominations. Netizens also stated that Scooter Braun from HYBE America pulled favours and hence it all took place. Many started questioning if that is what actually happened.

But the Eyekons jumped in to protect their girls. They talked about their achievements, chart-topping hits, viral moments, solid performances, and more. Fans were all praise for their hard work and said that the girls truly deserve it.
