To this hate comment, he replied, saying, “Daniela does not need to be like Lisa or Manon.” In a separate comment, he wrote, “KATSEYE does not run based on Manon. The girls will be fine.” But the comment that gained the most traction was when he was seen making a racial comment. Comparing her daughter and Lisa, he wrote, “If you have to ask, Daniela is much better trained. In addition, she is Latina, which gives her a significant advantage over Asian dancers. Her hips are untouchable.”
After this comment, Rafael received massive criticism online. One fan wrote, “Man literally ruining his own daughter’s career,” while another said, “his is so unnecessary and straight-up racist. Why drag Lisa into this? Latina or Asian, talent speaks for itself.
