Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi’s Merry Christmas Release Date Announced With New Intense Poster

Social media was abuzz when the Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Merry Christmas was announced. Fans were least expecting this duo to unite for a film, and now that they have, people are quite excited for it to release. But much to everyone’s disappointment, not many details about this film were revealed to date. But fans got a sweet surprise on July 17 when the release date of Merry Christmas was announced. Along with the release date, a new poster of this film was also dropped which has piqued fans’ interest!

Merry Christmas starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi has been touted as a ‘genre-defying tale’ as it is a film that will have blood and sparks flying when these two meet. The film is shot in two languages and directed by Sriram Raghavan who has previously helmed Badlapur, and Andhadhun. Since the title of the name is Merry Christmas, it was assumed the film will release around this time but the exact date is revealed to be December 15, 2023.

The Hindi version of this film stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand. And the Tamil version of the film stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. Interestingly, the film will also introduce a child actor named Pari. To up the excitement of the fans, it has also been revealed that Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will be seen in cameo roles in the film.

The poster of Merry Christmas gives a peek into their characters and looks like the plot of the film will be set against the backdrop of retro Mumbai. Vijay Sethupathi looks intense whereas Katrina looks worried in the film’s poster. This film is jointly produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg.
