In recent news, Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have moved the Delhi High Court to demand a share in their late father, Sunjay Kapur’s, assets. In the suit filed by the two children, they alleged that their ex-wife, Priya Sachdev, had forged his will. As per the plaintiff, the so-called will attributed to their father is neither legal nor genuine, but rather a forged and fabricated document. Read to know more about it.
About Sunjay Kapur’s Will
Karisma Kapoor’s children alleged that this was the reason that neither the original of the Alleged Purported Will has been showed to them, nor the copy. They therefore requested the quote to provide a copy of the said document. Besides this, Samaira and Kiaan have also urged the court not to allow Priya Sachdev to execute the will till the issue is resolved. The drama started right after Sunjay Kapur’s sudden death in London on June 12, 2025.
This started a major dispute over his Rs 30,000 Crore inheritance dispute. And just a few days back, Dainik Jagran reported that Karisma may be exploring legal options to claim a share of her former husband’s estate. To enhance the drama, Kapur’s third wife, Priya Sachdev, has dropped her surname Chatwal and adopted Kapur. Many claim that this change was a strategic move to strengthen her stake in the inheritance.
