Many female stars have commented on the inequality and the recent one to do so was Kareena Kapoor Khan. The Jaane Jaan actress firmly said that she will not settle for anything less and is also ready to decline the offer if it is not worthy enough for her role. Read on to know more about what she said.
Kareena Kapoor On Pay Disparity
The inequality in payments between male and female actors is an issue that has not been addressed for a long time. However, actresses are now speaking about it, and Kareena Kapoor is even ready to give up on films if the pay is not worth the characters she is playing. During an interview with NDTV, Kareena Kapoor said that it’s time for her to say no to roles if the payment is not worth it. The star further added that she will give her best for the makers to realise that she is equal good as her male counterparts.
Kareena Kapoor also had a strong message for the young girls. She spoke about consent and how girls should not feel overconfident about saying no to things, whether it’s a dress, role or money. Kareena also added that one should push themselves more and do better. The actress has always taken a stand for pay parity.
