Kareena Kapoor Khan who is currently gearing up for her next, Singham Again directed by Rohit Shetty opened up about her experience in Bollywood. In a recent interview with Times Of India, Kareena recalled her debut and said that at 18 years old, all she wanted was to be in every movie but when you sustain in an industry for a decade, the much-needed step is reinvention, which was scary for Kareena Kapoor as it’s such a male-dominated industry. Kareena further added how over the years many actresses apart from her have taken such big strides and now every 5 years she asks herself what new ways she can try to re-invent her.
Kareena also explained how it’s not just about being in successful films anymore but all about leaving behind a legacy. She also revealed how coming from the Kapoor family, has been incredibly challenging due to the incredible talent of her relatives, hence now she wants to make her own mark. Kareena also noted that every decade brings new talent, which brings in the question of how to sustain herself. But Kareena being Kareena found a way to overcome this hurdle as she now chooses different kinds of movies to do and gave examples like the Buckingham Murders, Singham, Crew, and Jaane Jaan and more.
