During his conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Karan Kundra defended his decision of consulting parents before proposing to Tejasswi Prakash. He said that if one doesn’t ask their parents or a sibling, who will they even consult with? The actor highlighted that involving family in a huge life decision should not be perceived as a negative thing. Karan shared that one will not forget their parents if another person enters their life. He also stated that the parents are an important part of a person’s life, regardless of age, adding that seeking their advice should not be mistaken for a lack of independence.

During the conversation, he also reportedly slammed the social media users who criticised him over it. He shared that the people were commenting that he should not have talked to his parents before making a decision. Karan then asked which world they were living in. He added, “Hindustan mein paida hue ho ki kahi Kardashians ke ghar paida hue ho tum log?” Further, Karan also revealed that Tejasswi Prakash has no problem with him discussing the proposals with his family.
For the unversed, the couple met in the Bigg Boss 15 house, after which they started dating. It was in 2026 when the pair decided to star in the Desi Bling reality show, where the actor proposed to Tejasswi in the most wholesome way possible!
