Karan Johar Wants Anti-Delusion Vaccine For All Delusional People In Film Industry. Mile Toh Hamein Bhi Dena!
Karan Johar recently opened up on how he wants a vaccine to cure the delusion of several people from the film industry!

Karan Johar, one of Bollywood’s most prominent filmmakers and the creative mind behind Dharma Productions, recently opened up about a peculiar wish. In a candid conversation with Komal Nahta, Karan revealed that if there was ever a vaccine to cure delusion, he’d be the first to get his hands on it for several others in the industry. And honestly, we get it. Who wouldn’t want a reality check in a world full of self-proclaimed geniuses?
Karan Johar On Delusional Bollywood
During the interview, Karan shared his honest perspective about his own journey. He admitted, “I have always believed that I have been more fortunate than talented. I never thought I deserved all the success I got.” It wasn’t until the filming of My Name Is Khan that he felt confident about his skills. “One day on set, I thought, “Maybe I know my job.” But the conversation took an interesting turn when Karan addressed what he calls Bollywood’s “delusion epidemic.” He said, “Delusion is a disease for which there is no vaccination. If only I had that vaccine, I would have given it to several people in this industry. They are all living in delusion.”
He further explained, “Sometimes I don’t understand these people. I don’t know if they are lying to themselves or if they genuinely believe they made a great film. In reality, it is not.” Karan describes himself as “80% realistic,” leaving just a little space for aspiration—a balance that, according to him, is missing in many others.

Karan Johar has never shied away from voicing his opinions, even when it means calling out his own fraternity. His career, which kicked off with the 1998 blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, has seen its share of hits and misses. His latest directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), was well-received, adding yet another feather to his cap. So, if science ever manages to invent that anti-delusion vaccine, let’s hope KJo gets his wish. And maybe, just maybe, Bollywood will become a little more grounded. Until then, we’ll just sit here and enjoy the dramab oth on and off screen!
