Guess What? Karan Johar Is Turning Student Of The Year Film Franchise Into Series, Reveals The Name Of Director!

We all remember the craze for Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year that gave us three talented stars like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. And then the second happened too! Now KJo has spilled some tea about the third SOTY that will be digital release. Talking about it at an international film festival, Karan Johar revealed that Reema Maya will be directing SOTY series!

Yes, this time Student Of The Year 3 will be back in the form of a series. While taking about the same at the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF), Karan Johar said that the series will be directed by Reema Maya who has also directed Nocturnal Burger. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director also revealed that he will not be interfering in the process as he wants SOTY series solely to be a product of how Reema wants it to be. KJo also added that he doesn’t wish to make the series an illusion.

However, the cast of Student Of The Year has yet not been finalised. Earlier, rumours had it that Shanaya Kapoor will be making her film debut with it but there are no confirmations on that yet.
Reema Maya recently won the Best Director for Short Films at the the Critics Choice Award. The director expressed and shared the moment of joy with her fans on social media.
