Karan Johar Finally Clarifies Vasan Bala’s Comment On Alia Bhatt’s Casting In Jigra

Celebrities are always on the media’s radar for both their personal and professional choices. And the conversation around nepotism, has made their lives, a tad problematic. Still struggling with the same and bearing allegations of putting the privileged segment first, filmmaker/producer Karan Johar, has almost become synonymous to this term. Currently promoting his next project–Jigra, Johar and the team have been giving many rounds of interviews, marketing the film.

Headlined by Alia Bhatt and directed by Vasan Bala, the film’s trailer has already garnered much love from fans. But what brought the topic of nepotism, back in spotlight was a latest interview given by director Vasan Bala, where he narrates the story behind the film’s casting. Speaking about the same, Bala revealed that Karan Johar sent the script to Alia Bhatt, without telling him and it was his grammatical errors in the draft that worried him. Well, Bala dropped the story and people surrounded Karan Johar, accusing him of giving the film to Alia, without any discussion with the director.

While Alia Bhatt did not share her take on the same, Karan Johar was flooded with accusations of pushing for star kids. Then what, he had to speak up. In an Instagram post, the filmmaker/producer spoke about the incident and called Bala’s comment innocent and pure. He further said–”The grave misinterpretation of his comment about me sending the script to Alia without his grammar checks made me laugh initially at the ludicrousness of it all but now is truly annoying me … Vasan continues to be one of my most talented and wonderful collaborators and if you see his interview and hear his tone you will totally get it! BUT NO … much ado about nothing is all over the place…”
