Similarly, one such reunion that featured Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Aamir Khan broke the internet back in 2018. A picture of them posing together was shared on KJo’s Instagram. Now, the director has revealed the story behind the same and trust us, it’s very cute!
Karan Johar On The Viral Reunion Picture
During his chat with Sania Mirza on her podcast, Serving It Up With Sania, Karan Johar shared that the pic was snapped on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday before the pandemic. The filmmaker expressed that it was an emotional day because of his father, Rishi Kapoor’s health. He added that it was also his birthday so they just landed to wish him, and that everyone they had called showed up. For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020. According to the director, he doesn’t think that actors like that can ever come together. He shared that this picture was one for the books! He spoke facts about that photo because even today, when we look at it we can’t help but obsess over it. Also, his story reveals the sweet bond they all share!

What’s Next For Karan Johar?
It seems that 2025 was a huge year for Karan Johar as he received the National Award for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani under the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment category. As far as his next project goes, it will feature Katik Aaryan and Ananya Paday. The film is titled as Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The movie is slated to release on December 25! We are excited to see them together onscreen again!
