In a shocking turn of events, four prominent Bollywood personalities, Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D’Souza, and Sugandha Mishra have reportedly received death threats traced back to Pakistan. Mumbai Police have filed an FIR, and a thorough investigation has been launched to ensure the safety of those targeted.
The threats first came to light on December 14, 2024, when Rajpal Yadav received an email from a sender who identified himself as Bishnu. The chilling message allegedly warned of severe consequences for Kapil Sharma and his team, linking the threat to the sponsorship of Kapil’s show by Bollywood heavyweight Salman Khan. The email emphasized that the matter should be taken seriously and addressed urgently, dismissing any assumptions of it being a mere prank or hoax.
Following this, Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, filed a formal complaint at Mumbai’s Amboli Police Station. Authorities registered the case under Section 351(3) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, which deals with threats of harm. The police also took immediate steps to enhance the security of the celebrities involved.
Preliminary investigations traced the email’s origin to Pakistan. Authorities are now coordinating with central agencies and government officials to gather further information and establish communication with the neighboring country. The email also reportedly set a strict timeline for a response, failing which the perpetrators threatened severe consequences, both personally and professionally.
