The comedian also candidly revealed that he missed his late father after winning the iconic show aka The Great Indian Laughter Challenge season 3. Kapil Sharma On Facing Depression
During his conversation with ETimes, Kapil Sharma stated that every phase in his life has had its own charm. He said that his childhood was different when his father was still there, but after his death, the comedian’s life went off track. He then recalled getting to star on TV, after which his life also came on track. Kapil revealed that at 36, he battled depression and he completely went down, where people said that he was “finished.” The comedian also stated that he later got married, after which his show came back and he did 300+ episodes again.
Kapil Sharma On Missing His Late Father
During the interview, Kapil Sharma revealed that he misses his late father. He said that the past never changes and those who have gone won’t come back. The comedian recalled that when he won the trophy for The Great Indian Laughter Challenge season 3 and got a cheque for Rs. 10 lakhs, he cried and remembered his father. Kapil further stated that when his show started, he would stand quietly outside his house at 9 pm. He recalled that in every house of his society, TVs were on and he could hear people’s laughter and think that if his father were alive, he’d be very happy. Kapil expressed that he missed his father everyday and some moment hits harder.
