Kanye West finds himself back at the centre of controversy this week following the emergence of a cease and desist letter, purportedly written by his legal counsel, with a host of serious allegations against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. The highly publicised letter made allegations of inappropriate conduct surrounding the well-being of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. But the issue with the authenticity of the letter has been raised to cast doubts. Here are the 5 allegations made by Kanye West against Kim Kardashian
1) North West Reportedly Left Alone In A Car At The Met Gala
West reportedly said that Kim took their child to New York’s 2025 Met Gala but abandoned her alone in a car for most of the event.
2) Access to Children Banned
He blamed Kim for breaching their shared custody order by inhibiting his ability to spend quality time with the four children, even though their agreement provided them with equal custody.
3) Failure to Interact with Son Saint West
West accused him of having never seen their son, Saint, in the whole of 2025, which suggested his access to interacting with his kids was being curtailed.
4) Use of North West on Social Media
The rapper objected to Kim sharing content involving North on sites such as TikTok, implying she was exploiting their daughter for personal or business purposes.
5) Unreasonable Restraints on Parental Rights
West asserted that his communication and interaction with the four children had been unreasonably restricted, which he contended was in contravention of their divorce and custody agreement.

Further complicating the issue is that the authenticity of the letter has been questioned. The attorney listed in the letter, Kathy Johnson, is reported to be with a firm that does not seem to have a confirmed presence or license to practice in California. Kim Kardashian’s lawyers hadn’t seen the letter, according to TMZ, and insiders close to both parties suspect it could be a hoax or a publicity stunt.
So far, Kim Kardashian’s lawyers have not made a formal statement. Whether or not the letter was formally sanctioned by West is not clear, but the scandal has brought renewed public focus on the ex-couple’s co-parenting relationship.
