In a recent turn of events, a 26-year-old woman identified as a famous Kannada TV actor, Nandini CM, was found dead. As per reports, she died by su*cide at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Kengeri, Bengaluru. And now, the Kengeri Police have registered a case of Unnatural Death (UDR No. 76/2025) under Section 194 of the BNSS Act, 2023. Read to know more about the case here.

Kannada Actor Nandini CM Dies

The incident allegedly occurred between 11:16 pm on December 28, 2025, and 12:30 am on December 29, 2025. Her death was reported to the police on the same day, around 9:15 am. The incident happened on the second floor of a PG located in Kengeri. And as per the FIR, Nandini did her PUC education in Ballari in 2018 and later joined an engineering course at RR Institute, Hesaraghatta. However, due to her interest in acting, she left her regular college attendance to attend acting training in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.

Nandini has acted in many Kannada TV serials since 2019 and was living in a PG accommodation in Bengaluru. Nandini was given a government post on humanitarian grounds in 2023 after her father died, but she reportedly declined, preferring to pursue a career in acting. This is claimed to have caused disagreements at home.

What Happened?

In December 2019, Kengeri Police informed the complainant that her daughter was found hanging in her PG room, after which the family arrived in Bengaluru and gathered details regarding the incident. According to police, Nandini went to her friend Puneeth’s house on the evening of December 28 and then returned to the PG about 11:23 p.m., following which she locked her room from the inside. Puneeth attempted to call her later, but she did not answer.

He then notified the PG manager, Kumar, and the in-charge, Kiran, at around 11:50 p.m. When they pushed open the door, they discovered Nandini hanging from the window grille with a veil cloth. Emergency services were called, and Kengeri Police arrived on the scene and determined that she had died on the spot.

The complainant further alleged that Nandini had written in her diary about her unwillingness to take a government job and her wish to continue acting, claiming that her views were not understood by her family. Based on this, the family indicated that they had no suspicions or allegations against anyone in connection with her death.
