A Kannada producer has been accused of kidnapping his estranged wife to demand the custody of their 1-year-old child. As per an India Today report, the victim’s name is Chaitra, and she is a television and film actress. The incident of abduction took place when the actor was at the Mysore Road Metro Station, in Bengaluru, on December 7. From there, she was reportedly abducted by her estranged husband, Harshvardhan, along with two other women. She was forced into a car and taken via NICE Road and Bidadi. According to the complaint, the shoot for which Chaitra was going for was actually planted by Harshavardhan through his friend Kaushik. Chaitra was also paid an amount of 20,000 in advance.
As per the reports, the police have registered the complaint against Harshvardhan, Kaushik and the other person who was allegedly with the two men during the time of abduction.
As per the reports, this crime was done to demand their child’s custody. He demanded the child in return of Chaitra’s release.
