Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is currently promoting her upcoming film Emergency. This film is her own production, and in the past, the actress has been blamed for interfering with direction and scriptwriting. During a recent appearance, Kangana Ranaut finally spoke about this. She denied all of these allegations and even expressed her respect for the directors she has worked with in films like Tanu Weds Manu and Fashion.

Kangana Ranaut Denies Interfering With Directors

During her appearance on Indian Idol 15, contestant Manasi Ghosh expressed her admiration for Kangana Ranaut. She then asked if the allegations about her interfering with the directors and scriptwriters were true. She also asked if this was the reason the actress took control of her upcoming film Emergency.  “Saara siyappa khatam karo…you know what that means, right? Naa rahega baas, na bajegi basuri,” Kangana replied.

She then denied such allegations and said that she had respect and admiration for the directors she had worked with. Acknowledging her privilege, she mentioned how films like Tanu Weds Manu, Fashion, and Gangster are remembered for their filmography. Ranaut revealed that such directors motivated her to pursue filmmaking.

The Emergency actor stated that it was okay if she didn’t get along with one or two directors. She then told everyone that it was okay not to be liked by everyone. “I started in 2005, and now it’s 2025, but there are still only a handful, maybe about five or six directors, actresses, and heroes who have truly made it,” she said. She then concluded by saying that it’s good to cultivate new cultures.
