Kangana Ranaut’s solo directorial Emergency has been making headlines for the controversies surrounding the film. Earlier, Zee Entertainment Enterprises approached the Bombay High Court for the film’s release and a censor certificate. According to their petition, the censor board unfairly held back the film’s certificate. They also mentioned that the board had the certificate ready but was not giving it out. Here’s how Kangana Ranaut reacted to it.

What Did Kangana Ranaut Say?

Kangana Ranaut took to her X(Former Twitter) reacted to the situation and wrote, “High court has blasted censor for illegally withholding the certificate of #emergency.” The Bombay High Court also directed the censor board to review the objections against the film before certifying it by September 18. Earlier, the Bombay High Court refused to order certification to the film. According to reports, Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla cannot issue any orders because the Madhya Pradesh High Court has already directed the censor board to look into objections to the film before certifying it.

Furthermore, she penned a long note and mentioned that she has become everyone’s favourite target. She added, “This is the price you pay for awakening this sleeping nation, they don’t know what I am talking about they have no clue why I am so concerned, because they want peace, they don’t want to take sides. They are cool, you know chilled!!” For the unversed, the film was set to hit the theatres on September 6 however, it faced trouble due to Sikh groups like the Shiromani Akali Dal’s accusations that the film misrepresents their community. As a result, the film’s release is now on hold with no new date announced yet.
