“Multiplexes Are Very Expensive,” Kangana Ranaut Speaks On Behalf Of Indian Middle-Class Families

Do you believe that nowadays watching films in theatres is no more a basic need but has rather become a luxury? The expensive tickets, popcorn and snacks seem to have demotivated many Indians from watching films on the big screen because it does create a big hole in the pocket. Actress Kangana Ranaut has raised some similar concerns on behalf of all the middle-class families in India and has expressed her wish for doing something about the rising prices in multiplexes.

Kangana Ranaut often puts forth her views on various issues and topics relevant to the country. This time, she has spoken on behalf of all the middle-class families in India who are definitely finding the cost of watching movies with families rather expensive. Kangana Ranaut reacted to the data of losses incurred by the multiplex owners in India, As per the data, many multiplex owners have henceforth decided to not screen some 50 underperforming films in the span of the next 6 months.

Kangana Ranaut shared this tweet on the Box Office collections and expressed her concerns over it. She also demanded the opening of more theatres in India and added that the data was not a good sight for the film industry. The Manikarnika actress further shed light on the fact that middle-class men have to spend a huge part of their salary in order to enjoy one film with their family and children. She urged us to do something about this raging issue of multiplexes becoming expensive with time.

Many users elaborated on what Kangana Ranaut said. They highlighted the insane cost of snacks at multiplexes which are actually way more expensive than a movie ticket. Well, some of them also wrote that they didn’t mind spending on movies if only the movies released on the big screen were good. There’s nothing to disagree with what Kangana Ranaut or some other Twitterati wrote about the rising costs of watching movies or even the fact that there are way too many options available on OTT. So well, the movie has to be really worth it for the audience to go watch it on the big screen. However, something should be done about those popcorn and cold drink prices, please!
