Kangana Ranaut shared her opinion about the Kriti Sanon-starrer Rakshabandhan advertisement on her Instagram story. She wrote that it’s a wonderful time to be a woman. Kangana further mentioned that our closets are full of a variety of clothes and called today’s woman a “global woman.” The politician added that from cocktail dresses to lehenga cholis, jeans to saris, bikinis to salwar kameez, from all the options that are available to women today, why would one tie their brother a rakhi in their “bikini/undergarments?” She also asked where were the styling options? Kangana stated that the advertisement looked creepy.

As the chatter surrounding the Rakshabandhan advertisement grew stronger, Kriti Sanon decided to share a carousel featuring herself and her loved ones on Instagram. This also included her sister Nupur Sanon and her rumoured boyfriend Kabir Bahia. It’s worth noting that the actress has not responded to the backlash against the campaign. As far as her outfit in the advertisement goes, she wore an off-white-coloured traditional fit that featured a bralette-style blouse, a cape and a draped skirt.
We feel that the criticism is misplaced because the ad is being judged more for its clothes than what it is trying to convey. Because every traditional fit doesnt need to look like the internet’s idea of what is “appropriate” for Rakshabandhan. When it comes to her professional front, Kriti Sanon was last seen in Cocktail 2 along with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut was last featured in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.
