Congratulations are for actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut as she is all set to mark her Hollywood debut. According to recent reports, the National Award-winning actress will be starring in a horror drama called Blessed Be The Evil. According to the synopsis, the film depicts a Christian couple who, after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage, buy an abandoned farm with a dark history. A sinister presence soon tests their love and faith.
Kangana Ranaut To Make Hollywood Debut
According to a report by Variety, the film will be produced by Lions Movies and will also star Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey and Scarlett Rose Stallone. It will be directed by Anurag Rudra, who said, “Being born and spending my childhood in rural India, I was told stories that got embedded in my mind and heart.” He wanted to tell this special folklore through International cinema. Reportedly, the production of Blessed Be The Evil will begin in the summer in New York. The producers specifically chose US locations to avoid running into any concerns caused by the recently proposed Trump industry tariffs.

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Emergency, which focused on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actress not only played the lead in the film, but also directed it. It explored the 21-month emergency imposed by her from 1975- 1977, often referred to as the darkest chapter in Indian history. It also starred Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair in lead roles.

While Emergency received mixed reviews from the critics, it only managed to earn Rs 20 Crores in India, marking as a box office flop.
