India is one of the largest producers of films in the world, which means every Friday comes with a hope or a failure. Speaking about the most-talked about releases of the month, actress Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film–Emergency seems to be going through a rough time. According to the actress’ confirmation on Twitter, the film was stalled and delayed because of the Central Board Of Film Certification.

But as per The Bombay High Court’s statement, the CBFC has been ordered to take the decision of certification, latest by September 25. The division bench featuring Justices B P Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla, expressed displeasure over CBFC’s decision of delaying the certification and pick a side. The bench of justice clarified that the citizens of India are not so naive that they will believe all that the film shows.
On the contrary, the film’s makers have accused CBFC for delaying the film for political reasons. Slated to release on September 6, the film’s release got pushed due to multiple protests, including many Sikh organisations, fighting for the film to not release. For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut is seen essaying the role of former prime minister, late Indira Gandhi in the film. Besides directing, she has also co-produced the film.
