Kangana Ranaut Acknowleges British MP’s Support For Emergency Controversy In UK, Criticises Silence From Indian Ministers

Kangana Ranaut’s directorial Emergency based on the life and political journey of India’s former Prime Minister hit the theatres last week. The actress has been receiving praise for her performance but the film has also been caught in some serious controversy. Many protests took place during the film’s theatrical release in the UK. Reacting to the same, Kangana Ranaut has recently appreciated a UK Minister’s strong stand against the film’s ban while she also called out the Indian ministers for their silence. What Happened?

Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency faced strong backlash from a section of the Sikh community in the United Kingdom. During some shows, there were heavy protests outside the theatres due to which the film’s screening also had to be stopped in some places. Recently, a British Parliamentarian Bob Blackman raised his voice against this uncalled-for action from a certain group and took a strong stand for maintaining freedom of speech.

Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter account to share the video of the British MP and acknowledged his strong support for her film. However, she strongly criticised the Indian politicians for staying mum on the matter.

A few days back, Kangana Ranaut also posted a video to thank her fans and followers for their love and support of her film Emergency. However, the actress was upset about the film’s ban in Punjab. She urged the audience to watch the film and decide on their own.
