Kangana Ranaut Calls Out Male Directors
The actress, who has built a reputation for breaking stereotypes, expressed her dissatisfaction with the current state of Bollywood directors. She particularly criticized prominent directors of big-budget films, calling out their portrayal of female characters as superficial and deeply problematic. Kangana emphasized that if the industry had more capable directors, she wouldn’t need to take creative control herself.
Her critique wasn’t limited to Bollywood. Kangana also took issue with South Indian cinema, which is often lauded for its storytelling.
