The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor received a lot of criticism and backlash for objectifying women and glorifying violence. Nevertheless, the film made huge numbers at the box office and became a blockbuster. However, the film’s message is still being talked about and in a recent interview, Kangana Ranaut slammed commercially hit films that promote violence.
Kangana Ranaut On Films Promoting Violence
Kangana Ranaut is currently promoting her upcoming film, Emergency. During promotions, she bashed commercially hit films that promoted violence. Kangana didn’t take the name of the film; however, the description was similar to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. She pointed out that the recent patriarchal films have made huge numbers at the box office. However, she wonders where these people are even coming from. Like, guys are out there with weapons, causing chaos and violence. She further also added that it seems like there’s no one to stop them. Moreover, they’re going into schools with weapons like there’s no police around, no consequences. It’s like the law and order don’t exist. They’re just leaving a trail of bodies.

She further raised a question- And all for what? Just for kicks. Not for helping the public or protecting borders. Just for fun. They’re just doing drugs and having a good time. Earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed his desire to work with Kangana Ranaut one day. However, Kangana declined the offer and asked him to not offer her any role because the director’s alpha male heroes would become feminists and then his films would be beaten. Furthermore, she added that since Sandeep Reddy Vanga makes blockbusters, the film industry needs him. On the professional front, Emergency, directed by Kangana Ranaut will be released on September 6.
