Pregnancy is painful and I think women hardly talk about it. It’s a blessing, sure, but it takes up so much from a woman’s body. Actress and mother Kalki Koechlin often talks about pregnancy and the difficulties that come with it. She recently opened up about the same and talked about the emotional and physical stress that women have to endure during this phase. Read on to know more.

Kalki Koechlin on Pregnancy

Actress Kalki Koechlin gave birth to an adorable daughter, Sappho. The actress has often spoken about the topic of pregnancy and postpartum stress. Recently also she addressed this very less talked about topic. She said that a woman’s body becomes a slave to another person and the entire nine months take a lot out of a woman’s body. The actress further stated that the baby takes up all the nutrients and a woman is just an ‘incubation system’ for the child. Kalki Koechlin also talked about the post-pregnancy issues. She stated that the first six months after birth are stressful because the mother has to stay awake the entire night to feed the baby. Talking about her experience, Kalki Koechlin added that she had started questioning her life and spoke about feeling lost during the phase. The actress also said that these problems are not talked about much.

Kalki Koechlin welcomed her first child with her partner Guy Hershberg. The duo has a beautiful home in Goa. On the work front, Kalki Koechlin was last seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan starring Ananya Panday in the lead role.
