This time, the buzz started when popular UK rapper Central Cee followed Jennie on Instagram and began liking her latest pictures. Many fans smiled and took screenshots, but a huge number of people were not happy at all. They remembered the UK rapper’s controversial past and warned him to stay away from their favourite idol. The moment fans saw Central Cee’s name on Jennie’s follower list, their protective nature came out. They found out his old stories and reminded everyone about them. Many said he has a history of treating partners badly and accused him of following the K-pop idol for clout. Some BLINKs even promised they would skip Jennie’s next song if the UK rapper ever appeared on it. Others joked that he must have a crush because he had been quietly watching her posts for months.

The biggest reason for the backlash was a scandal that happened in 2024. Central Cee was dating a well-known British influencer named Madeline Argy. Suddenly, she went on TikTok and told the world that he had cheated on her with American rapper Ice Spice. Madeline said the proof was hidden in the lyrics of a new song the UK rapper made with Ice Spice. It became massive and ignited heated arguments online.
